Recognizing Your Spouse's
Primary Love Language
Your spouse has a primary love language, and if you
learn to speak it, you will see a radical change in your spouse. The five
love languages are: Words of Affirmation - using words to build up your
spouse; Gifts - giving tangible tokens of your love; Acts of service -
doing things that you know they would like for you to do; Quality Time -
giving them your undivided attention; and Physical Touch - hugs, kisses,
tender touches.
One of these languages will speak more deeply to
your spouse than the other four. Learn your spouse's primary love language
and you will have the key to unlocking warm feelings for you inside the
heart of your spouse. Speak that language and watch the attitude and
behavior of your spouse begin to change. You don't have to have warm
emotions toward your spouse to speak their language. You speak it because
you want to minister to them, but when they begin to respond to your love,
look out! Your emotions of love will begin to surface again. You will
begin to feel warmly toward your spouse.
